Busy start to the week for the Upperco Volunteers
Captain Scott Timberman, April 08
First, E-852 responded to a vehicle collision on Sunday 4/6 with one vehicle colliding with a barn causing structural damage. One patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Upperco was assisted by units from Hampstead, BCoFD Station 17 (special operations), BCo Building Engineer, & BCoPD

Annual Easter Bunny Breakfast held 4/6/2025

Early in the morning hours of Sunday April 6 Station 85 was alerted to respond to our carnival grounds for a call of a rabbit stuck in the building. Upon arrival members did in fact find a large white furry creature stuck in the building after hopping down the wrong bunny trail. Upperco's Eldest Member Passes Away

With deep sadness the officers and members of Upperco Volunteer Fire Company announce the passing of our eldest member Morrell E. “Ludie” Blizzard. Ludie passed peacefully at Golden Crest Assisted Living in the morning hours of April 1, 2025. Ludie joined, then, Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company in 1977 serving in many capacities during his time. Members attend life saving grain bin rescue training at Station 85

Last night, 10/29/24, members from Upperco, Glyndon, Reisterstown, Hampstead, and BCoFD Career Station 56 participated in a grain bin (silo) rescue training drill at the Upperco Station. Upperco Volunteer was selected by Nationwide Insurance to receive this life saving grain bin rescue equipment along with 6 other departments state wide.
